Update/Trip to LA

Not much has been going on really.  We have
been working hard and going to school, and when we are
not doing either of those things we are spending time with each other and our cats.
We are still slowly fixing up our house and making it look nice, which
has been at times a headache but we still enjoy making it ours.  I've been lucky with getting some great deals at Dillards on things that go perfectly with my designs for the kitchen and living room.  I got two great pillows for 8 dollars when both were originally over thirty dollars; they look great on
our couch.  I'm in two photography classes this semester and they have been
really fun so far.  One of them more challenging than the other but so far
I've done excellent on all my assignments according to my teachers, which is
usually a good sign. Also, several weeks ago Tim and I decided we needed
a break from work and school so we decided to take a little vacation/trip to LA.
It was really fun.

Well here are some pictures and words in no particular order of what's been going on.

This is Mr. Kitty he lives on our porch and we love him.  He is the sweetest cat.  We don't know
where he came from but he pretty much stays on our porch all day and just waits for
us to come home from work each day. He always wants to be held and in return he
gives very slobbery kisses.

This is Mr. Kitty's sister we think. She isn't around as much as he is.
She is also very pretty and very playful and loving.  Really hope
these cats don't belong to anyone else, I would feel bad.  I would think
if someone lost their cat they would post something around the neighborhood.
Anyways they like us better apparently or else they wouldn't stay on our
porch all day.

Here is our mischievous Baby Burlious always getting into things
then jumps on the couch and acts all precious like he hasn't
done a thing.  Haha he is one funny cat.

This is Little One.  She is so sweet and obedient. She loves to play all day, and
she thinks that every blanket is hers.  If we leave a blanket unattended
she will bite it and start dragging it to her room.

Okay now for our trip to LA.
Last month we decided to go to LA just for fun.  We stayed
in the Roosevelt Hotel, which is said to be haunted by
Marilyn Monroe.  It was really beautiful inside and our room was really
nice.

We walked down the walk of fame and went to the wax
museum and had some fun taking pictures.

We also got a tour of the Kodak theater where all
the celebrities come for the Oscars.
I got my picture taken next to Johnny Depp's Hand and shoe prints.

We went on a tour of celebrities houses, and down town
Hollywood.
We also went to the Ripleys believe it or not museum and
the Hollywood historical museum.
We just relaxed and had a good time.
Well thats about it for now, hopefully I will get better at posting
more frequently.

Easter!

So for Easter Tim and I decided to let family come over
and see our house and have a meal and such.  I'm pretty sure everyone
had fun.  There was an easter egg hunt for the kids which
was really fun to watch.  We had a really good meal.  I cooked my first ham
and it turned out just fine haha.  Anyways here are some of the pictures
I took.

Our kitchen is pretty much finished except a corner of the ceiling needs
to be painted and our microwave is going to be mounted in the spot
above the stove, but other than that it looks great.

Vegas!

Last week for spring break Tim and I went to
Vegas for a couple days just to get away and relax from work
and school.  It was really fun, and the weather was
in the eighty's which I love!

We stayed at the Luxor which is a big pyramid and I've been
wanting to stay there because I love Egyptian stuff.
This is a view from just outside our room.
This is the outside of the hotel.
This is one of the statues inside the hotel that was really cool.

Monday we mostly walked the strip and went into the different hotels and looked
at the different shops they had.
This is the statue of liberty made out of jelly belly's it
was pretty cool.

Tuesday we went to see the Titanic exhibit, which was
really amazing to see all the artifacts.
We also went to the Bodies exhibit.  We went to it when they
brought it to Salt Lake but we decided to see it again, they had
some different things that we didn't get to see the last time we went.
They always have a big bin for people to throw away their cigarettes
after actually seeing what it does to your lungs and other organs.

After that we went to the Shark Reef Aquarium.
I liked the Komodo Dragon I didn't realize how big they
were.
I don't know what kind of shark this is but it is really cool looking

Later we decided to walk down the strip the the Fashion Show Mall which is
huge.
Then when it got dark we decided to walk back so we could see
all the lights on the strip.

We got to see the volcano erupt at the Mirage.
The fountain of Zeus lit up
The fountain show at the Bellagio
The M&M store
New York, New York and MGM Hotels
ExCalibur Hotel
Finally a picture of the Luxor lit up

We both had a good time and It was a good first
visit to Las Vegas for me. Even though I went when
I was really little, I don't remember a lot from then.
We got to see and do a lot in two days and Wednesday
morning we ate a great breakfast at the Luxor cafe and
then flew home.
